A budget plan for your dental needs

Denplan Essentials

• Denplan Essentials is a dental plan which helps you budget for your routine preventive dental care
• Seeing your dentist regularly is important as it can help you avoid having to undergo costly, restorative treatments
• The dental plan is easy to set up and no pre-assessment is necessary
• Your dentist will decide how often he wants to see you and how much he will charge you
• You will have to pay for any restorative dental treatment necessary (ie. crowns, bridges or fillings)
• You can add optional worldwide dental emergency and injury insurance cover for an additional 60p per month

Routine dental care includes:

• Check-ups (up to the maximum detailed in your contract)
• Scaling, polishing and other hygiene treatment (up to the maximum detailed in your Contract)
• Dental x-rays
• Any additional treatment specified as included by the dentist in your contract
• Preventive dental advice

Denplan Essentials does not cover:

• Restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist)
• Laboratory fees and prescriptions
• Any treatment excluded by the dentists in your contract which is payable by you to the dentist
• Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
• Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
• Sedation fees

Please remember that your routine treatment is at the discretion of the dentist and the contract is with your dentist, not Simplyhealth Professionals.

Category A – 2 x Examinations + 2 x Hygienist appointments + 2 Routine x-rays per annum
Category B – 1 x Examination + 1 x Hygienist appointment + 2 Routine x-rays per annum
Category C – 2 x Examinations + 4 x Hygienist appointments + 2 Routine x-rays per annum

Denplan Essentials patients still pay for additional dental appointments and treatments outside of the above, but they are entitled to a 10% discount on any private dental treatment carried out.

Denplan Care

• Denplan Care is a monthly payment plan which helps you pay for your routine and restorative dental treatment
• The amount you pay is decided by your dentist and is based on your oral health and how much dental treatment you will need
• After an initial assessment by the dentist of your oral health (for which you may be charged) you will be placed into one of five fee categories
• You can add optional worldwide dental emergency and injury insurance cover for an additional 60p per month

Routine and restorative dental care includes:

• Check-ups
• Hygiene treatment (including scaling and polishing)
• Dental x-rays
• Necessary fillings
• Preventive dental advice and therapy
• Any necessary extractions
• Periodontal (gum) treatment
• Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
• Root canal treatment

Denplan Care does not cover:

• Laboratory fees and prescriptions
• Any treatment excluded by the dentist in your contract which is payable by you at the private fee rates
• Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
• Treatment carried out anywhere other than by your registered dentist
• Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
• Sedation fees

Cosmetic treatments and dental implants are not covered by Denplan.

Denplan Hygiene Plan

• Denplan Hygiene Plan is an easy way for you to keep up with the habit of regular hygiene appointments, whilst helping you to budget, saving you money and spreading the cost. There are payment options for one hygienist appointment every six months, or one hygienist appointments every three months. Examinations/x-rays and treatments are not included.
