Dental Hygienist
- Our dental hygienist works in close collaboration with your dentist to improve and maintain a satisfactory oral hygiene level to prevent and treat plaque-related oral conditions such as gingivitis, acute or chronic marginal periodontitis (“gum disease”)
- In addition, they also instruct you and provide you with a “home-care-plan” to ensure that the best possible result and outcome can be achieved along-side your routine hygienist and dental treatments
- Smoking cessation information and advice, caries prevention advice and soft tissue checking for soft tissue abnormalities are amongst other services that the dental hygienist offers
- During your appointment with the dental hygienist, you will have any plaque and calculus removed from your teeth, also removing staining caused by tea, coffee, red wine and smoking. Your hygienist can also give you advice on diet and nutrition, check your brushing technique, and help to keep your teeth and smile fresh and healthy for life.
- Denplan Hygiene Plan is an easy way for you to keep up with the habit of regular hygiene appointments, whilst helping you to budget, saving you money and spreading the cost. There are payment options for one hygienist appointment every six months, or one hygienist appointments every three months. Examinations/x-rays and treatments are not included.
Did you know? You can see the hygienist without seeing the dentist first – just call or message us to book an appointment.
Visiting the hygienist regularly can make your teeth feel really fresh, cleaning more deeply than normal brushing, and can be tailored to tackle any areas you’re having problems reaching in your every day routine. Regular hygiene appointments can also help to prevent oral health problems before they begin, potentially saving you from large dental bills in the future.
